Not much. Mexico is a secular country, where the state is separate from the church -- in fact this ocurred after a war known as the Reform Wars (1857-1861).

This doesn't mean however, that Catholicism (the religion professed by approximately 88% of the population) does not affect Mexican society. The most glaring example is Christmas (Dec 25) and Good Friday, which are national holidays in Mexico.
