It would be very dangerous to use nitrous oxide while working out. It causes dizziness, fainting, loss of motor control and temporary loss of sensation. Nitrous oxide is only safe when administered in a dentist's office by trained professionals who are mixing it with the correct ratio of oxygen to avoid asphyxiation.

What is nitrous oxide used for?

Nitrous Oxide has many useful purposes. It can also be abused like any other inhalant drug. First and foremost, it is used as a propellant in aerosol sprays (Hair Spray, Whipped Cream... etc). Secondly, it is used as a performance enhancer in racing vehicles. Finally, it is used by Dentists to relax and sedate patients while they are performing various procedures.

What does High Performance have to do with Nitrous Oxide Systems?

Nitrous Oxide systems inject Nitrous Oxide gas into the engine , usually just before the inlet valve. When nitrous oxide burns it releases oxygen ( it is classifed as an oxidiser) which greatley increases the oxygen available to burn fuel. Given the air is only 18% oxygen, inceasing this will increase fuel burn ands hence power output. NOS systems give power increases while the NOS lasts or until the pistons and valves melt due to the increases heat. Super chargers and turbo chargers work by compressing the air before it enters the clyinder , which increases the compression ratio and forces more oxygen atoms into the clynider, they are more suitable of sustained power increases , te supercharger being the best as it doesn't suffer from "turbo lag". However NOS produces many more oxygen atoms as it burns.

Which oxides are acidic and which oxides are basic?

Sodium oxide, magnesium oxide, and copper oxide are basic oxides, while carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and silicon dioxide are acidic oxides.

Carbon oxide and water produce what?

It depends on which Carbon oxide you are using. For example Carbon dioxide produces Carbonic acid while Carbon monoxide produces Formic acid.

Does laughing gas prevent pain?

Yes While the above answer appears to be true, nitrous oxide (laughing gas) does not actually block the pain felt by the ensuing operation. Nitrous oxide, in fact, simply sends a message to the brain, making it, in "scientific" terms, go to "la la" land. Hence, the brain does not process the pain as much as if nitrous oxide was not in use.

What does huffing nitrous oxide do?

Huffing nitrous oxide causes feelings of euporia, insensitivity to pain, and auditory/visual distorions. The only known detriment to one's health directly related to nitrous oxide is severe vitamin b12 deficiency. This usually only becomes a problem in people who use nitrous oxide several times a day every day. Most, if not all, nitrous oxide-related deaths are a result of not using common sense, such as using it while standing up and falling and hitting your head or huffing from a plastic bag and having your airways blocked. Nitrous oxide is sometimes called laughing gas and dentists commonly give it to patients undergoing painful dental work.

Is it all right to work around nitrous oxide while pregnant?

Is nitrous oxide in In a car illegal in Florida?

I did a bit of research on this and it looks like it's illegal to have it connected up while driving. If it's disconnected it's not a problem. So basically no street racing. However if you are found in the possession of Nitrous Oxide without having the system set up in your car you can be fined for being in possession with intent to inhale which is a class 3 misdemeanor.

Nascar cheater that used nitrous oxide?

There have been several. Darrell Waltrip and A.J. Foyt were famously caught at Daytona in 1976, while D.K. Ulrich was suspended in 1978 for using it.

While treating drug abuse during harm reduction would you encourage a adolescent to switch from inhalants to marijuana?

Yes. Also encourage them to switch to nitrous oxide from other inhalants because it is safer.

Why do some trace metals require nitrous oxide acetylene flame instead of air acetylene flame?

Nitrous oxide acetylene burns at a higher temperature than air acetylene. You'd really need to ask a metallurgist (someone who know just about everything to do with metals) to get the real answer, but basically some metals are harder than others. The harder the metal, the harder it is to cut with fire. Brass and gold are very soft, while iron and titanium are hard.

Which supplements are good for strength building?

I used to lift weights back in college and high school. Some of the best supplements can be found at GNC. The best ones for post work out regiments are Creatine and Nitrous oxide. Pre work out, you may want to drink a whey shake or protein shake depending on what you're trying to accomplish while working out.

How does atomospheric composition affect air temperature?

While the specifics of this are controversial, the generally held beliefs are that greenhouse gases cause air temperature to rise. The primary greenhouse gases in earth's atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. For an extreme view of how greenhouse gases can affect temperature, do some research on Venus where greenhouse gases and the proximity to the sun have turned the planet into a furnace
