I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for here, but as a deity, Zeus was the embodiment of what it meant to be a Greek man. He was perfect in form and was often cavorting with other women, while remaining attached to his wife. He could be a doting father, but was usually forceful and firm, like a father should be in the Greek ideal. He was the king and his word was law, just as the man was king of his house and his word was final there.

Why did Zeus want to distrupt the seas when Odysseus leaves Calypso's island?

It's not Zeus that is disrupting the seas after Odysseus leaves Calypso's island; it is Poseidon. Athena went to Zeus to ask for his help to get Odysseus home and Zeus agreed that he would allow Odysseus to try and get home. Poseidon, on the other hand, hates the Greeks and especially hates Odysseus because he killed his son the cyclops, Polyphemus.
