they grab it in their talons
A barn owl is prey.
A larger bird of prey or a Fox might prey on a Barn Owl, but this would be highly unlikely.
they prey to god because they are religious!
Barn owls are known to prey on young deer.
Owls have a curved beak because when they capture their prey (in many cases: mice), they need to be able to snap the top of the spine with their beaks, immediately killing their prey.
Bald Eagle Barn Owl
Where ever there is prey for them, they are screech owls and don't require a barn to live in
The Barn Owl swallows its prey whole in most cases. Later it will regurgitate an owl pellet consisting of the bones and fur of its prey. If the owl is feeding chicks it will tear the prey into pieces. It might also eat prey in pieces if it is too big to swallow, however, barn owls have a very large mouth, which is not readily seen when you look at them because the part you can see, the bill, looks small.
Barn owls silently stalk their prey. They have great night vision and keen ears.
They wear costumes to disguise them of their prey and when they close enough to their prey they do a little dance to gain the attention of their prey. Once their prey spot the owl they go to them out of curiosity. Which the owl then jumps inside then and controls them like a robot.

in the UK, yes you can have domestic barn owls. But in the U.S.A you have to have a falconers license to keep any bird of prey.
