You have to be rough with your cat. If they misbehave you have to slap them. I know it feels terrible but after a while they stop and you can be their best friend again instead of their mother.
Another Answer:
An animal should NOT be hit. EVER. To stop a cat doing things it shouldn't, e.g. scratching furniture or urinating indoors, they can be sprayed with water (e.g. from a water pistol or vaporizer), or taken into a another room for a while.
If a cat is misbehaving, there is usually a reason (needs a better/bigger scratching post, litter tray is too dirty/doesn't like the litter/not enough trays around the house, or just wants attention, so will do the only thing it knows to get it). It is up to the owner to find out why the cat is behaving in a certain way, and strive to correct it in positive, non-violent ways.
Cats imprint by giving You affection and following you around. In other words, you are their favorite person.
no they can not learn
yes cats can learn exactly like dogs except you need a different approach
CATS
Your veterinarian, the internet, and the library...
Well, I'm not a cat, but I CAN tell you what I would do as an apprentice in warrior cats.. Respect older cats, learn battle moves, hunt, clean out elders' nests and ticks. As a medicine cat apprentice I would learn the herbs, remember where they grow, learn a bit of battle moves just in case and learn how to treat sick cats.
Dogs and Cats
There is a lot to learn about cats. If you are interested, you can find some great books at your local library or book store.
Cats are more independent than dogs and thus usually harder to train to do tricks. However with a little effort many cats will learn to do tricks. Whether cats or dogs learn more tricks is usually more an issue of the patience of the human trainer, not the animal.
They just purr, it's natural!
