A combine harvests a crop. It gathers the crop, threshes it and separates the grain from the chaff. Then it stores the grain in a storage compartment usually on top of the machine until it is full. The chaff gets spread out back onto the field. Once full, it's augered onto a truck and it is set to gather more grain again.
