Fruits are a wonderful thing. But what we don't normally think about is what they really are. First off, imagine a garden hose with a balloon attached to the end. When you turn on the water, the balloon will fill. Fruits work in essentially the same way, only instead of just water they are also filled with nutrients. Secondly, think about a flower for a moment. The pretty little plants don't grow to make the world look pretty. The truth about flowers is that they reflect different colors to attract specific insects so they can reproduce. Now, combine the two ideas into one. Fruits grow from what we call "flowering plants". The fruit is like a flower. They attract critters of all kind. When eaten, the seeds are generally ingested, but not DIGESTED. Instead, the seeds come out of the other end of the animal and will hopefully sprout the next flowering plant. From the plant's ovaries

Fruits are classified into fleshy and dry. Fleshy fruits are made of living cells that are often sweet and juicy. Dry fruits, on the other hand, are made of dead cells and are divided into those that split open and those that do not.

Fruit is made by trees and plants, as a result of their flowers being pollinated; the edible part of the fruit is grown as a protective (and nourishing?) cover for the developing seeds/pips.

Flowers come first. the flowers form first then the fruit. there is always a 'flower' end to the fruit so you can tell which end the fruit originated.
