Open the driver's door. The fuse "box" is actually a panel located on the left side of the dash board. You can only access it if the door is open. You will see a slot on the side, pull on it and the fuse box cover comes off.
In the 2000 Alero, it is fuse 34 in the engine fuse box, which is located near the battery. You can check the same fuse for the 1999 Alero and see if that is it.

In the fuse box under the hood. The legend is on the inside of the lid.
Should be labeled or just look for the bad one
On the engine compartment fuse block, which is on the driver's side of the engine near the battery, the left headlamp is fuse number 51 and the right headlamp is 50. Fuse numbers 19 and 20 are for the automatic light control. Source: 2002 Oldsmobile Alero Owner's manual
Try in or near the fuse block Perhaps left side of steering column by firewall?
I have a 2004 Alero and just replaced the lighter fuse. Maybe its in the same place. Under the hood, on the drivers side up near the firewall is a black plastic box with a knob on the top. I believe it might be labelled "fuse Box". Remove the cover, and look on the cover for the fuse positioning. I believe it is a 20 amp mini fuse. Possibly position # 34. Or whatever it is labelled. ---- I have a 1999 Alero, and yes it is under the hood in a black fuse box, slot 34, 20 amp. the diagram is on the cover once u lift it off.
where is the fuse and relay for the power windows on a 2002 Oldsmobile alero
if both stopped working at the exact same time it is most likely a fuse... consult your owners manual for fuse location and specification
Fixing your cd player will depend on what the problem is. Make sure the wiring harness is securely connected. Make sure the in-line fuse is operational. Make sure the cd player fuse in the fuse box is operational.
On a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero, the fog light fuse is located inside the dashboard fuse box on the right. The fog light fuse is a ten amp fuse.
Yes there are 3 fuse boxes in the 2001 olds alero. One on the side of dash on drivers side and one on passenger side of dash by the doors..also one in the engine.....power windows should be in the drivers side fuse box..if not they are in the passenger side fuse..30amp i believe..
