How do cats react when their scared?

You'd be able to tell when your hamster is 'scared' or 'frightened' because they tend to act a little.. odd. Pacing back and fourth, hiding.. etc. If it is scared, I always suggest putting a towel over it's cage for a while so it feels safe.

For example, turtles will retract to their shell, as you may have seen in Cartoons because the shell is hard, dirty, and looks very much like a rock. For an animal looking for a tasty turtle treat, all they will find is a 'rock',witch tastes bad and is hard to penetrate. The disappointed predator will move on. Cats will run and hide in small dark places where they are less likely to be found. Fish most commonly just swim away, but they also might hide behind a rock or in some vegetation if they get scared.
