It looks a lot like a American Bandogge Mastiff only that is a shorter breed but it's wider.
It depends on what you mean by "normal". There are English, Olde English, American, French and Victorian bulldogs/bulldogges. French are the smallest, then English, then Olde English and Victorian, then American.
Yes...... for sure...... I have a olde english bulldog and even though they have short hair doesn't mean they don't shed! They shed a lot!
The American Bulldog breed was not developed until the 1980's however, the dog breed in which they descended from was the Olde English Bulldogge. The Olde English Bulldogge ( dating back to the 1700-1800's) looked extremely similar to the American Bulldog only it had more English Bulldog characteristics (like a shorter snout) than the American Bulldog.

Olde Victorian BulldoggeThe OVB is an olde bulldogge that is being bred and shown to the Victorian era standard A large smooth coated dog with a wide heavily built torso and chest. He is large headed with thick bones that does not impede vigor. Broad muzzle with a short face, but not too short to hinder breathing capabilities. Hindquarters should be slightly higher than the foreparts. The bulldogge should have a symmetrical body and be well muscled. The OVB must be loyal and courageous but must have a stable temperament.from: http://www.freewebs.com/oldevictorianbulldogge/the English bulldog is a very nice pet also but they have been bred to be short and squat. The English is recognised by the AKC - American Kennel Club and is common in pet stores etc. The Old Victorian is not common and has NO AKC certs but is registered through the olde Victorian bulldog associationThe Old English Bulldog was developed By A Dr Leavitt in the USA to recreate the original English Bulldogcheck out the site http://www.bulldoginformation.com/Olde-English-Bulldogge.HTMLSincerely Efe
Olde English Bulldogs are NOT considered a purebred breed by the American Kennel Club. It is, however, considered a purebred by the United Kennel Club and the Canadian Kennel Club.

Olde English Bulldogges are a type of Bulldog that are usually bigger and stockier than regular English Bulldogs. The Olde English Bulldogges are closer to the form of their ancestors bred for dog fighting and baiting bulls. English bulldogs are smaller and more clownish, with shorter legs, shorter bodies, and shorter snouts, with a more comedic temperment. Olde English Bulldogges are more of working stock, English Bulldogs are more of show stock. :)
English Bulldog, American Bulldog, American Pit Bull Terrier, Olde English Bulldogge, French Bulldog, Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog, Valley Bulldog, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier, Boston Terrier, bull Mastiff and Banter Bulldogge are the ones I can remember.
Olde English Bulldogs look more like American bulldogs than English bulldogs: they are larger, leaner, have long uncurled tails, are mostly unwrinkled and are not or are not to the same degree as brachycephalic (meaning having a short snout) as their English counterparts. English bulldogs in contrast, are short, stout, stocky/heavily built, brachycephalic, wrinkly, and are low energy.
If one of the dogs parents was a dog that had webbed feet, such as a retriever, than it could of inherited that trait.
Victorian Bulldog (also known as the "Olde English Bulldogge") are usually born naturally, whereas English bulldogs are born by c-section.
