Anti-Discriminatory Practice:

A physiotherapist should always promote anti-discriminations, and must be anti-discriminatory in all care sessions, and not be bias towards or discriminate against any patient. For example, they should:

  • Keep care sessions free from discrimination and abuse (both physical and verbal)

  • Understand and accept a client's right to be different

  • Be open to treat anyone or any age, race, gender, ethnicity etc.

Always use politically correct language and terms

Individual Rights:

Any patient that goes to see a physiotherapist should have the right to be an individual, which should always be accepted and understood by physiotherapists, to ensure that no discrimination takes place in sessions. Physiotherapy is also important therapy which enables individuals to be independent.

For example they should:

  • Try to teach clients methods and exercises they can use at home to try and be more independent with their own therapy

  • Help improve a client's mobility so that they can be more independent and can do more things for themselves

Acknowledge and put in place health and safety measures to protect clients

Communication:

Physiotherapists should always be able to communicate effectively with clients and, in some cases, the client's family, so that a patient's needs or condition can be passed to carers, or family and the patient themselves, so that everyone can keep track of treatment and continue it at home. For example they should:

  • Communicate effectively with the client how treatment is going, what progress they are making and what will take place

  • Understand the client's needs and wishes

Be able to communicate with the patient

What is the largest digit that you can use in each place value?

It depends on which base system you are using. If you use base 10 (the most common one which is used for most math) then any digit from 0 through 9 is acceptable for any given place value. The largest of these digits would be 9. If you are using a different base system then the answer will be different. For example, in base three the numbers 0 through 2 are acceptable for any one place value. The greatest digit in base three for a place value is 2.

How does the binary system differ from the hexadecimal numbering system?

Is it true hexadecimal numbers operate on a base- 10 number system?

It is only true in the sense that any numeric base, expressed in that base, is represented with the symbol "10". Confusing? Let's clarify that. Hexadecimal numbers use sixteen as the base. But how do you express the value sixteen in hexadecimal? Quite easy, it would be written as "10". The same is true in any other base. For example, in binary (base two), the value two is expressed as "10". In octal (base eight), the value eight is expressed as "10". In decimal (our familiar base ten), the value ten is expressed as "10". No matter what base you work in, the base itself will always be expressed as "10". That however is not the same thing as saying that hexadecimal numbers are based on the number ten. That is incorrect. Hexadecimal numbers use the base sixteen.

What is the log of 40000?
