What plant lives on top of another one?

If you mean what plant can live on top of another plant, epiphytes are a good example (e.g. orchids). Here the plant attaches it's self to the bark of a tree, but does not derive any nutritional benefit from the tree. If you mean what plant lives off another then you are referring to parasitic plants, where the plant derives direct nutritional benefit from the host plant i.e. it gets its nutrients and water from the host plant. An example of this is the Dodder plant/ vine

How does plant absorb water from the soil and reach the tree tops?

well, i think that the plants leaves are the ones that absorb all the water and lets it go through the stem, and, that when the plant grows that is because the plant had the water to reach the top. that s my answer on how plants absorb water from the soil and reaches the top.well, i think that the plants leaves are the ones that absorb all the water and lets it go through the stem, and, that when the plant grows that is because the plant had the water to reach the top. that s my answer on how plants absorb water from the soil and reaches the top.i think its from the rootsWater comes from the soil. The roots absorb the water and the water travels through the xylem of a tree to reach the leaves of a tree. The way water keeps going through the xylem and the tree is because water at the leaves is evaporated and more water from the roots goes through the xylem. The water at the bottom of the roots "pushes" the water up and the evaporating of water at the trees is "pulling" the water up

What does a xylem cell do?

How do plant cells react when they do not receive enough water?

Plant cells react in many ways. Because of its rigid structure, the plant cell will not just melt, it will just begin to cave in. For example... ------------------------------- I I I I I __________________I If this is the cell's structure, the top layer will cave in like this... ---\ /------- I \ / I I I I__________ You get my point!!!

Why are epidermal tissues so important to plant survival?

The epidermal tissue on both the top and underside of the leaf is clear and very thin. Specialized guard cells form a tiny openi, or pore, called a "stomate", that allows carbondioxide, water vapour, and oxygen to move into or out of the easily: therefore, epidermal tissues are very important to plant survival, because it helps in the activity of photosynthesis.

How are metered roof drains used?

Metered roof drains are installed on flat roof systems. Their primary purpose is to allow a small amount of water to drain through them, and allow for water to pool on a roof top. This pooling allows for the sewage treatment plants not to be overwhelmed by the rain water. The metered roof drains must be spaced 50 feet from the roof edge and 100 feet from another metered roof drain. Each metered roof drain has 4 weirs built into its body. By removing weirs you can control the amount of water that will drain. The more weirs removed the faster the roof will drain. The roof must be engineered to hold the weight of the pooling water. More information can be found on the web sites from the manufacturers of metered roof drains. Zurn, Mifab etc.
