This is an easy project and can be very fun to do.
What you will need:
1: A cardboard box1
2: Clear tape2
3. Aluminum Foil
4. Black Construction Paper or anything similar
5: A sheet of clear plastic
6: Super glue
Instructions:
1: Open the box and line the inside of the flaps with foil using super glue.
2: Line the outside of the flaps with black paper using super glue.
3: Tape the flaps together so that they will stick out.
4: Line the inside of the box with black paper.
5: Place a sheet of plastic between the flaps and the inside of the box
6: Either decorate the outside of the box3 or add black paper to the outside4.
Warnings:
1: The Solar Oven can get very hot so have caution.
2: Do not look directly at the inside of the flaps when top is facing sun.5
3: Use same precautions as you would using a normal oven.
Instructions for cooking:
1: Place oven in direct sunlight.6
2: Place food in the oven.7
3: Let food cook.8
4: Remove Safely and enjoy
1 Any size will do but I recommend a large one.
2 You can also use electrical tape.
3 For fun.
4 For extra insulation.
5 I would use sunglasses if you HAVE to look at the flaps.
6 Have the top facing the sun.
7 For Meat, Seafood, Poultry, Tofu, etc. I would wrap it in foil
8 It will take longer than a conventional oven so have patience.

∙ 15y agoOk lets say we have a 15 watt solar panel running for 8 hours a day + a car or deep cycle battery, it will deposit around 120 W/h into the bank per day, you could run the microwave for 8.3 minutes per day, of course you can get a better panel.
