The uneven heating and cooling of Earth's atmosphere by the sun's energy
causes the air to flow from one place to another, in a type of behavior that
we call "wind". Since the air is moving, it has kinetic energy. The windmill
intercepts some of the moving air and robs part of its kinetic energy.

It doesn't. It uses wind power to turn the blades. The blades turn a generator which ouputs electricity.

How does wind converts into electrcity?

Wind turns the turbines of a windmill, and so, the wind energy gets converted into mechanical energy. This in turn produces electricity...

How are windmills powered-?

A windmill runs off of the energy that the wind provides. The wind blows against the blades of the windmill and turns them, causing them to turn a turbine. This turbine converts wind energy to kinetic energy, something that we can store and harness.

What machine can turn motion into electricity?

Dynamos and turbines. For example: a windmill converts the kinetic energy of the wind into electric energy.

How does the wind turn into electricity?

Wind energy can be converted to electrical energy in a windmill. Such a device features a large propeller that can be moved into the direction of the wind. Friction with the wind will cause the propeller to rotate. The propeller is internally connected to a dynamo which converts the rotational energy into electricity.

How does energy work with wind?

Wind turns a propeller on a windmill, which in turn turns a turbine causing static electricity to build up and is "pumped" into a generator. From the generator it goes to a sub station that collects and distributes the electricity to buildings.

How does a windmill or helicopter turn?

Helicopters and windmills turn different ways. Windmills turn by the wind. The stronger the wind, the faster the windmill goes. Helicopter turn by electricity. Electricity is "hot". For Example: If you get electrocuted it will feel hot. You will really be getting burnt. So the heat of of the fire will light the wire's and that will turn the helicopter's propeller.

How is wind energy harnessed and used?

The wind turns a windmill which then turns a turbine that generates electricity using inductance. Also, more 'primitive' applications simply use a windmill to turn gears and shafts to pump water or grind grain, etc.

How do you convert wind energy into usable energy?

The wind energy turns a rotor; this mechanical energy is then converted into electricity through a generator. The wind energy turns a rotor; this mechanical energy is then converted into electricity through a generator. The wind energy turns a rotor; this mechanical energy is then converted into electricity through a generator. The wind energy turns a rotor; this mechanical energy is then converted into electricity through a generator.

Which object converts wind power to electricity?

A windmill or a wind turbine. Once there is enough wind the blades turn the generator inside. This generates electricity.

What part of the leaf traps the suns energy?

The chloroplasts turn the sun's energy into a kind of sugar.

What are some examples of how electricity can be converted to other forms of energy?

Electricity is stored as chemical energy when you charge a battery. Electric motors turn electricity into kinetic energy. Electric ranges/ovens/stoves turn electricity into heat energy.

What does solar energy turn into?

Electricity.
