There isn't really effects. If your child watches too much, it can make their eye sight go bad. If they are watching stuff not suitable fot them e.g. swearing, violence, sex, and drugs, and can influence on them and they might emulate. But a little television isn't bad for kids, just make sure they watch the right stuff.

∙ 16y agoI guess TV addiction has its positive and negative effects on children! The positive effect on the children is that on what they might watch might teach them a few morals (a new and good lesson to them) and the negative effect is that it makes you weak! It gathers all your energy because children nowadays are practically watching tv more and more because of anime but you cannot blame them nor the creators! They just want to know what happens because it is interesting tell them if it is late at night they should sleep first and then you'll just wake them up when it is time to wath it! Other channels are good because they have replays! So sometimes it ios good but warning how to prevent tv addiction give them a brand new technology and spend more quality time to them because they just want to spend some quality time with you when you see them watching a parent to child/children movie that's what it means! But if their watching something you're not familiar of it means they just want to be in the fashion but then you should tell them to be themselves but if they really like it it eans they just want to watch it because they think it's cool for them so you just have to follow everything I said then vwalah your life and children's life would be ok!

∙ 14y agoIt is a physically passive experience. Children's bodies are designed for activity. Children start relying on information from TV rather than adults in their life. This info may be biased or morally wrong. TV can be like a uninvited guest tresspassing from your back door. The messages children will encounter are not monitored by you unless you are there viewing with them. Even then since you don't know what is going to be on the screen within the next few seconds they are vulnerable. If you are there you may have a chance to correct them or counter them with your own views.
