How can a US citizen marry an illegal alien in the US if the alien has no photo ID?

That person can go to the consulate or embassy of her/his home country and see about obtaining a photo I.D. If that person is from Mexico, s/he can obtain a Matricula Consular. Nevada is the best place to get married. A social security number is not necessary. I married my illegal alien husband there. He just had one picture I.D. They asked for his social security number and we said he didn't have one. It wasn't a problem.

You can marry an illegal alien in any state, but he or she must have valid identification. Marriage to a U.S. citizen does not automatically confer nor guarantee permanent resident or citizenship status. It depends on the state. Most states require a photo I.D. If the person is from Mexico, s/he can go to the nearest Mexican consulate and get a matricula consular, which is a photo I.D.

i called a Mexican consular, and you have to have a photo id and birth certificate to get a marticula consolar.

*NO . but, if you can get a passport in your consulate or embassy, that's all you need. but if you better go back to your country and get married there... and start the process in the US embassy everything will be easier and fast.

In order for any application to be approved by USCIS (Immigration) he/she would have to somehow leave the country and you would have to file at the US consulate abroad in their home country either via a Fiance visa or marry them in their country. If they entered into the US illegally they will receive a 10 year bar if you apply in the US as well as they may receive it anyways just for showing unlawful time spent in the US with no visa and no arrival departure record . You cannot adjust their status if they have never had a status.

I don't think you need to produce an ID to file for divorce. Lawyers file divorce papers for clients all the time and that would be a real mess if the ID was needed.

They must have some legal document proving who they are. Such as a drivers license from their hometown, birth certificate, passport or social security number.
