How do differ boiling and melting?

Boiling - is turning a liquid into a gas. Melting is turning a solid into a liquid.

How does the boiling process at supercritical pressures differ from the boiling process at subcritical pressures?

there is no distinct phase change as it just simply evaporates

How do the melting and boiling points of water differ from those of a sugar water solution?

The phenomenon of boiling point elevation is analogous to freezing point depression

How does normal boiling points differ from other boiling points of the same liquid?

The normal boiling point is the boiling point at sea level, or more precisely, at 1 atmosphere pressure. At higher elevations, or at lower atmospheric pressures, the boiling point is lower. At higher atmospheric pressures, the boiling point is higher.

How does the boiling behavior of pure substance like distilled water differ from that of its mixture like seawater?

sds

The physical properties of a solution that differ from those of its solute and solvent include freezing point boiling point and what?

Conductivity

How does the effect of freezing differ from the effect of boiling the enzyme?

Freezing doesn't effect the enzymes since freezing does not permanently affect enzyme structure. Boiling permanently changes the structure and can change the enzymes.

Is boiling soup different then boiling just water?

Other than the obvious differences, the process of dissolving something with a lower vapor pressure (higher boiling point) into water will cause the resulting solution to have an overall lower vapor pressure and therefore a higher boiling point.

When two liquids in a mixture differ by their boiling points the best method to separate these liquids is?

The best method of separation is distillation.

What is the state of matter sodium is in at boiling point?

The state of matter is changing, as with any element. However, just before the temperature reaches boiling point, it is in a liquid phase. Just after, it is in a gaseous phase. Boiling points differ based on the element, so this will be true with any element chosen.

How does boiling differ evaporation?

Boiling is when a liquid is changing to a gas because it has gained enough energy, usually through heat, to overcome the pressure pushing on the liquid and the intermolecular forces between the molecules of the liquid. Evaporatation is essentially the same thing as boiling, just like freezing is the same solidification.

How do the boiling and freezing points between the Fahrenheit and celsius?

Boiling points and melting points differ for different elements and compounds. However, if water is considered, the freezing point is 0 degree Celsius which is 32 degree Fahrenheit. Boiling point is 100 degree Celsius which is 212 degree Fahrenheit.
