in air, bromine particles keep bumping into air particles which slows the process down. in a vacuum, nothing gets in their way
Bromine is a liquid, so chlorine, as a gas, will diffuse faster.
Bromine vapor is chemically the same as bromine its just physically different so the symbol is still Br. :-)
