The effect of cancer on someone's daily life will vary much, depending on the form of cancer, the stadium it is discovered in and the treatment prescribed. If the treatment is radiadion therapy or chemotherapy, the result often will be with radiation that it will leave you weak and easily tired for a period. Chemotherapy often - mostly progressively so as chemo treatments progress - makes people feel sick for a number of days after each treatment and since your body's protective systems gets diminished, chemotherapy may make you vulnerable to other illnesses. So in both treatments the result will be that the patient will have to stay home and/or keep to his bed for a while, and after that can pick up his regular life again until after the next treatment, and so on.
