Fat accumulates in the body when the total number of calories consumed exceeds the total number of calories burned throughout the day. It does this by being stored in the body as an energy reserve. Over time, if this pattern continues, the fat reserves will start to accumulate and cause weight gain.

Fat is accumulated once you intake more calories than your body requires to maintain its current weight. You end up in a caloric surplus therefore increasing your bodyfat.

Your body burns a certain number of calories per day, based on your body composition (how much muscle and fat you have) and your activity level. When you eat more calories than that number in a given day, your body will do one of two things with the extra calories: it will store them as fat, or it will store them as muscle (actually it does a little of both).

Which one depends mostly on the quantity and intensity of exercise you have done within the last two days. However, there is also a biological limit on how much muscle can be gained in a week. No matter how much you train and eat, you will never gain more than a pound of muscle per week, and any leftover calories will go to fat.

If you have an intake of energy that is higher then the energy you lose, you will gain weight. If you're not active, or if you eat food of lesser quality, then you might very well end up gaining your weight in fat.

𝓱𝓽𝓽𝓹𝓼://𝔀𝔀𝔀.𝓭𝓲𝓰𝓲𝓼𝓽𝓸𝓻𝓮24.𝓬𝓸𝓶/𝓻𝓮𝓭𝓲𝓻/283755/𝓖𝓾𝓬𝓬𝓲𝓫𝓸𝔂21/ The ketogenic diet is a low-carb, high-fat diet that can help people lose weight and improve overall health.

The goal of the keto diet is to enter a metabolic state called ketosis, where the body burns fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates. To achieve this, people on the keto diet drastically reduce their intake of carbohydrates and increase their intake of healthy fats.

Typically, a ketogenic diet includes:

High amounts of healthy fats, such as olive oil, avocado, nuts, and fatty fish

Moderate amounts of protein, such as meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products

Low amounts of carbohydrates, such as fruits, vegetables, and grains.

The ratio of macronutrients (fat, protein, and carbohydrates) can vary depending on the specific plan, but a typical ketogenic diet includes:

70-75% fat

20-25% protein

5-10% carbohydrates

It's important to note that the ketogenic diet should be followed under the guidance of a healthcare professional, as it can have some side effects, and is not suitable for everyone.

It's also important to keep in mind that, while the keto diet can be effective for weight loss, the long-term effects of the diet are not well-studied, and it may not be sustainable for some people.
