If the drive wheels aren't spinning, then no.
Mine had a broken viscious clutch in the transfer case after being towed with the rear wheels on the ground. Cracked the clutch housing.
Only with the drive wheels off the ground.
You can tow an old VW bug, but it's recommended that you keep the rear wheels off the ground. Pulling it long distances at speed with the transmission turning out of gear can cause damage to the drive train.
The drive wheels either need to be off the ground or the drive shaft has to be removed.
i have a 1989 chevy blazer gos in 4x4 drive but front wheels are not pulling wat do i do about that
it can if it is a manual transmission and is left in neutral. if it is an automatic you need to know if it is front or rear wheel drive. If its front wheel drive you need to lift the front wheels off the ground and if its rear wheel drive you have to lift the rear wheels off the ground.
Is this vehicle all wheel drive? The vehicle is fwd so yes it can be towed with all 4 wheels on the ground.
The odometer will count the miles, regarless of which fuse is pulled, if the drive wheels are on the ground and the driveshaft is attached. So, either remove the driveshaft or lift the drive wheels off of the ground.
This is normal and is caused by the weight of the wheels, and the dampers pushing them down. All you need to do to correct this is take the jack out from underneath the vehicle and drive it off, the wheels will settle down once you start driving.
Not with the rear wheels on the ground.
They put one of the wheels in drive, and the other stays put so it turns.
