The Gulf Stream is a large and powerful current that begins in the Gulf of Mexico. It brings along with it the warm temperatures of the Gulf. It's strange in that it's only 600 miles southeast of New York City. The Gulf Stream has enough strength to arc over the North Atlantic Ocean and makes a climate impact as faraway as the British Isles.
