steam engine? Carnot cycle heat engine?
Potential chemical energy to heat and light energy.
As far as I know, there is no such thing as "mechanical heat energy"; there is mechanical energy, and there is heat energy.
A heat engine converts thermal energy to mechanical energy. Examples of a heat engine is a refrigerator, heat pump, and carnot cycle. A heat mover transfers heat from one object to another.
Mechanical energy is heat light and kinetic energy but instead of saying something has heat light and kinetic energy we just say mechanical! :)

yes, it is a heat engine. A heat engine is one that extracts heat energy and converts it to mechanical energy.

It will still be heat energy, but it can be converted to mechanical energy
Coal is a chemical compound which contains chemical energy. To convert coal into mechanical energy, you use it (burn it) to produce heat and use the heat to boil water, the steam from which will drive a steam engine which delivers mechanical energy.

Mechanical energy

The Kalina cycle makes use of thermodynamic principles to turn heat energy into mechanical energy. By using a solution with components of various boiling points, the Kalina cycle allows more energy to be extracted than traditional processes.
Smoke is an example of mechanical energy and heat energy. This is because the internal motion of atoms is called heat energy and mechanical energy is energy associated with motion. Smoke contains atoms moving which is both an example of heat and mechanical energy.
