To make it short?
It was Horrible. The first few months it felt like i was gonna die.
But once you go on in your pregnancy it starts to get better.
The pain is all worth it once you see that little pink sweetheart in your armss.
:)
well....the contractions are horrible. Imagine someone ripping out your insides and having to pee. I had to pee when I was in labor every 10 mins, and my contractions were every 2. Everytime I went to the bathroom I had to have someone by my side because I would drop to my knees in pain. Actually having the baby, I wouldn't know. I got an epidural, and usually you can still feel the pain with an epidural, but they messed up on my epidural and had to do it again(stabbed me in the back 7 times) so the medicine was deep in my system. I tell you, the pain afterwords is HORRIBLE. You serious feel like you just gave birth to a watermelon!
When you actually have the baby you feel a lot of pressure and burning.
Giving birth is different for each person doing it. There is usually some amount of discomfort or pain, although some post surgical patients sometimes experience much less pain than others. Contractions happen at regular, shortening intervals, resulting in the dilation of the cervix and the expulsion of the baby. As the baby moves down the birth canal, the pain often diminishes almost entirely, replaced by the need to push, similar to during a bowel movement. After pressure from the baby's head is gone from the nerves serving the perineal area, the pain usually returns, although it is much less than that felt during active labor. After birth, the perineal area is often numbed up for sutures if there was tearing.
Moms who give birth via cesarean are either "put to sleep" during delivery, or given a spinal anesthetic so that birth isn't felt other than pulling or pressure type sensations. Recovery pain is often rougher on C section moms.

You can't feel what giving birth is like without giving birth! :-) Read Ina May's Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin-the midwife of all midwives in the US. This book will give you some idea what it's like. Anyone pregnant or even thinking about having a baby should read this. It's a masterpiece.

Probably not because the male doesn't have a birth canal in his body the eggs are released into a pouch which only male seahorses have and when the eggs hatch the babies come out of that pouch so I wouldn't imagine it as painful as other creatures giving birth.
