i had mine of yesterday the 13/02/2012 and I've had them on for a year and to me i feel like there is just something missing cause you have had braces for such a long time and when you used to feel the lumps and bumps on your teeth (the brackets) it feels strange because now all you can feel is the teeth. But when i had my braces i regretted having them on because i had a lot of blisters in my mouth but when you get them off it is the best thing ever because you will have lovely straight teeth and like me every time you go past a mirror i cant help but smile to show off my lovely white straight teeth!!!x
the worst thing for me, having my braces of was when they had to scrape of the glue on my teeth with this electric tool (which looks like a Pizza cutter but its just electric and it kind of has sand paper on it if you get me) and it goes round really fast and if you touch your teeth with your tongue or your finger after that it will burn you because of the friction, trust me it will be very hot i have done it.
hope this really helps and i am having my retainers on tomorrow so i will let you know how that goes if you want to know!!xx
Your teeth feel incredibly smooth, and, at least in the day of metal braces, your jaw feels lighter.
Tylenol
Sleep. That's honestly it. At first, braces will feel weird, but eventually you won't even notice them.
when you first get you braces on its not really painful just kinda annoying and you feel a bit of pressure. the braces will give you some cuts on your cheeks though
i dont see why braces a re so stereotypical of a guy being a nerd, i mean a guy in my class has braces and most of the girls i know fancy him
they will feel sore after getting them put on a wee while after it, but not enough that you should stay off school :) just need to watch what you eat so you dont break them.
Yes you might feel pressure when wisdom teeth are erupting, whether you have braces or not.
The braces itself aren't sore, except the first day you get them. Braces aren't "sore" but if you play sports and get by n the mouth it doesn't feel good, if you get hit hard enough, it could make your lip bleed. Tighting doesn't hurt that much, it just feels like pressure on your teeth. So to conclude, I would say braces aren't so bad as everyone explains that they are..... they don't exactly feel wonderful either, you may bleed and yes braces may hurt off and on. Hoped this helped a little bit!!
If you have sensitive teeth, you might feel a little bit of pressure, but don't worry. It's not painful. After the next couple of days, your teeth may feel a bit sore. Try to eat soft foods like mashed potatoes, soup, apple sauce, Jell-O, etc. The orthodontist should also give you wax to put on your teeth when they feel sore. It's fine if you swallow the wax. It won't hurt you! Good luck with your braces!
No, it doesn't hurt when you get your braces out. They just pop them out and it only takes a few seconds, although you might feel a little pressure when they are loosening them. Other than that they don't hurt at all.
Thank him, smile, and compliment him, too. Don't feel like this is a reason NOT to get your braces off. It's the best feeling in the world, and you'll be much happier with them off. No guy is worth keeping braces on, just because he said one thing.
They pull it off with some pliers and it hurt like crap feel bad 4 you :]
