The reason that cancer is an example of a non-communicable disease is that it can not be transmitted person to person. A cold is communicable because you can get a cold from someone else.
Rabies is non communicable disease. Man is a dead end for the disease.
If it is non-communicable, the disease won't be "spread" or transmitted from person to person.
No it is a communicable disease.
A communicable disease is a disease that can be transmitted from one person to another. A contagious disease is a communicable disease that is transmitted to many individuals quickly and easily; highly infectious. For example, the pathogen which causes Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever can be spread to people through a tick bite. RMSF is not considered contagious, but it is communicable. Something like impetigo or the common cold is considered to be contagious.
When speaking of diseases, a communicable disease is one that can be passed from one with the disease to one who doesn't. This is the way colds are passed. A noncommunicable diseasecan not be passed person to person. For example, heart disease. You can not get heart disease from a patient who has it.
It is a non-communicable disease that is spread through inheritance and genetics.
Communicable disease are passed from one person to another or from another animal. For example: colds. Ones that are not are said to be noncommunicable. For example: cancer.
A disease that cannot be spread from person to person is non-communicable. For example, lung cancer can make a person cough. But they won't give me cancer from coughing (though the cough can still spread viruses or bacteria). A person's heart disease is not "catch-able".
