There is a simple method on Windows Vista to create a handy desktop shortcut. Assuming the file is already on the PC in question, click on the Start button, go to All Programs, and then find the file. Right click on the file and then select Send To and then the desktop. This will enable a shortcut.

What is Short cut key to bring Desktop over rest screens in Linux?

There is no single shortcut to "show the desktop." All shortcut keys are easily modifiable, so the instructions may very from distro to distro. Ctrl - Alt - D is the most popular shortcut for showing the current desktop (remember that most Linux environments support more than one). I believe KDE 4 only supports switching between virtual desktops, though.

Why does my mouse take me to windows search when I left double click on a desktop icon instead of opening the program I want. It just changed one day and I don't know why.....?

I might know what it is, If it's just those icons it could be a missing shortcut. If the program was moved or deleted then the shortcut won't work. You'll need to find the program yourself, or try looking for it in the start menu, once you find it just drag it to the desktop, it will create a new shortcut.

You are using windows Vista how do you use the same desktop for the adminstrator and a stand account?

If it is just one extra account it is probably easiest to configure them individually by going to: Desktop Background in Windows explorer then selecting the image then "OK" or by right clicking the image and clicking "Set as Desktop Background".
