In Windows, create a shortcut with the shutdown /s command.
If the shortcut is on your Start Menu or Quick Launch bar, it will only require one click.
If the shortcut is located on your Desktop or in another folder, it will require two clicks.
Most monitors have Power Saving features and will turn off when no signal is detected.
First Click on Settings Then click on Delete Then Shutdown your Computer
Shutdown over Network... You can simply go to the computer on the network through the command prompt and type: Shutdown -s This will turn your computer off in 60 seconds to stop this just type: Shutdown -a There are many more options to the Shutdown command.

right click new> shortcut and then type in "shutdown -s" without the quotes and click next type the name example: shutdown then your done, if you want you can change the icon by right clicking the shutdown file, properties> change icon >ok> now choose the icon> apply> ok and there you go =D
you go to the login screen and in the bottom right hand has a power symbol you click it then click shutdown

start / run / shutdown -i then just search for comps on the lan, or put in the IP's if you know them off the top off your head. If you want to shutdown someone else's pc, press keys: winlogo+R > shutdown -i > in dialog box press browse ( school network/work) or click add and type the persons IP address in the box i.e. 102.168.1.2. Hope it works ;-)!
