A hard reset - Resets passwords, keys, and other configured options (In other words, this type of reset WILL restore it to FACTORY DEFAULT) - is accomplished by keeping the router powered on, and finding the RESET button on the back of the router. Then, using a paperclip or the tip of a pen, pushing in on this button and HOLDING it for about 30(thirty) seconds. After doing this, your router will usually require a minute or two to boot back up and start working again, where you can enter a new password or key.
