Owls can obtain energy by eating snakes, rats or just pretty much anything smaller than it. They are carnivorous. Their main diet consists of mice, snakes, squirrels and other birds. They swallow their prey whole and then they digest what they get nutrients from and the rest like fur, feathers, and bones gets regurgitated into a pellet.
