Psalms, the hymnal of the second temple, is the book in which the people speak to God. So it should not be a surprise that the majority of the psalms arepsalms of complaint or lament see Psalms 12, 13, 22,35, 55, 64, 88 for example.)
The people are not shy about telling God when they think that God is taking too long to help them. They complain loud and long about being tormentedby enemies
Yet the complaints almost always conclude in praise to the God who has created them and stayed with them all their lives. They may become frustrated that God's ways are not their ways, but they reflect on the magnificence of the creation, the depth of the ethical behavior that God expects of them, the joys of love and children and the growth of their own souls, and the praise of God is again their song,
Anyone can read through these songs and find words for their own situations and perhaps find God at work in his/her own life
Many psalms were designed to be used in the worship service (Psalms 66 (a "call to worship"), 67 and 68 ( choir anthems with instructions to the musicians included), 75, 84, 103 (which can be read responsively by a leader and congregation) and many others.
There are also psalms of praise for group worship and for individual use (see Psalms 8, 89, 90, 93, 96, 98,100, 103, 111, 112,121, 122, 150 and many other beautiful psalms.
There are many psalms which are prayers for forgiveness 51, 73 for example
Sacred History psalms 78, 83, 106
Thanksgiving to God 92, 105, 107, 108
Read it for yourself and find the psalms that speak to you--or for you!

The Psalms provide a range of emotions expressed through poetry, allowing readers to connect with various feelings such as joy, sorrow, anger, and praise. By reading and meditating on the Psalms, individuals can find comfort, encouragement, and a sense of solidarity in knowing that their emotions are shared by others. The Psalms also offer prayers and reflections that can guide individuals in processing and expressing their emotions in a healthy and constructive way.
