it builds up after the water evaporates then when it gets big enough it get carried off to the shore but some people say it doesn't get to the shore.... some people dont care how it gets there!!!!
oh well what are u gonna do
Any grocery store.
from the sea and at the store
You cannot use sea salt that you buy at a grocery store. It has to be a pre-made mix at a pet/fish store so that it is not highly iodized and has essential minerals.
Salt is salt is salt; it is either sodium chloride or it isn't. Sea salt has different impurities than the salt in the store (iodine and anticaking agent) but basically, so what? I'm not aware that the stuff in the store is bad for you, and I've never seen someone point at an impurity of sea salt and say "that's good for you!" It's good at getting more money out of your pocket, that is all.
SEA SALT CONTAINS WATER OF CRYSTALISATION BUT APPEARS DRY. Sort of. It has more moisture than table salt which is from a mine while sea salt is a natural product from the ocean. If you have some make sure you store it in something that is not metal because it will react to the metal.
Sea salt may boast trace amounts of minerals that are refined out of store-bought table salt, but there's nothing that shouldn't already be in a well-balanced diet. Some impurities in sea salt (and the lack of added iodine) may actually be a detriment to your health.
In many cases, the two words "sea" and "ocean" are used to mean the same thing. Just as a "sea captain" actually sails on the ocean, "sea salt" really means salt coming from the ocean. There are technical differences between a "sea" and and "ocean" but these are not adhered to in nontechnical, normal daily language. When it comes to salt, the stuff one buys in the store as "sea salt" is likely to be from a sea and not an ocean. The salt gotten by evaporation from inland seas is often closer to pure sodium chloride than salt gotten directly from the ocean which is 78% sodium chloride.
Yes. Its called Sea Salt and you can buy it from any health food store. Many countries use manufacture salt for human consumption from sea water. Sea water is allowed to flood shallow lakes called salt pans. After the water evaporates the salt is collected and impurities are removed to produce pure salt. Potassium iodide is sometimes added as many diets are lacking in iodine. Pure salt is white.
Plenty of places carry sea salt caramels. These places include Amazon, Bequet Confections, Frans Chocolates, the Natural Candy Store, and many more places.
Sea salt comes from the sea and tastes like sea water.
Sea salt is extracted from sea/ocean waters.
Of course, yes !
