i do not believe that sediment can produce more sediment.

the sediment forming the Florida platform were made from marine animals. there shells and skelatins and calcium carbonate which helped make limestone. this happend over millions of years of life death and burial.

you can not produce more sediment unless themarein animals in the shallow water die again and make more sedimentery rocks.

Does an old or young river deposit more sediment?

an older river deposits more sediment.

Can the smaller the load a river has the more sediment it can carry?

The smaller the load a river has the more sediment it can carry is false. When the river has more energy, it is able to carry a larger load, therefore more sediment.

How do a river slope and volume of affect the river sediment load?

The steeper the slope, the faster the water will run, and the more sediment it can carry. The larger the volume of water that is moving, the more sediment it can carry with it.

Which river has the worlds largest discharge of sediment?

The Ganges River ranks as the largest sediment river discharge in the world due to the elevation of the Himalayas from which it drains from. Ongoing glaciation of the region paired with the elevation work together to produce huge amounts of sediment.

How does the gradient of a stream affect how much erosion it causes?

It is because if a stream gets bigger, it is allowed to carry more sediment. More sediment means more erosion.

How are dunes created by deposition?

Dunes are formed from aeolian deposition which consists of the wind picking up sediment, then blowing it, then dropping it. Dunes are an accumulation of sediment. More sediment is deposited on a dune as wind loses more energy when it hits it, thus depositing the sediment, growing the dune.
