Every time you sin, you turn yourself away from God. However, God is a just and forgiving God. You will be judged for your sin, but He will forgive you if you repent of it.

Romans 5:13 says , "13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone's account where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! "

But when you sin it is not only directly against God, but also against a person or group of people. This can affect your relationship alot depending on what sin you comitted. that's the other thing about people. God veiws all of our sins as excactly the same, and equally evil, but humans rate sin. They say like "oh, my sin wasn't as bad as so-and-so's sin over there" when in reality no matter what you did, it contributed to Christ's death. it put Him on the cross. The best thing to do is to confess your sin to God, and beg Him for forgiveness and then go fix your screw up. Go apologize, and do what ever you can to bring reconcilitation, and God will do what He has planned for the situation weather for oyu to be forgiven or not, He is sovereign, and perfectly capable of fulfilling His plan for your life.

What are the three central ideas in Christianity?

Man is sinful, sin separates man from a relationship with God, Jesus came and through His death made it possible for man to have a relationship with God again,

How did sin affect creation?

That is a bit of a trick question since sin could not have existed for humans prior to creation. In the alternative, Lucifer lead the heavenly rebellion against God, which can be viewed as the "original sin" resulting in the ever present battle between good and evil (God & Lucifer) and the establishment of the free-will concept as a means of fair-play between God and Lucifer. Taken in that view, sin can be said to have had the greatest impact on creation since God created us for the sole purpose to participate in a (free-will) chess game of sorts with Lucifer.

What was the first sin?

The first sin was commited by Lucifer when he aspired to be greater than God. The first human sin was commited by Eve in the Garden of Eden, when she ate of the fruit that God had forbidden Adam or Eve to eat from.

Are there degrees of sin?

only in our eyes we see some sin to be worst than others due to society and how we were brought up but in the eyes of God all sin is sin. even if you only sin in your heart or mind it is sin. The Church's understanding of sanctifying grace has led theologians to discern two degrees of sin, that being venial and mortal sin. Venial sin is a slight offense against the law of God in matters of less importance, or in matters of great importance it is an offense committed without sufficient reflection or full consent of the will. Venial sin weakens the individual but it does not deprive him of spiritual life. Mortal sin is a grievous offense against the law of God. This sin is called mortal because it deprives of spiritual life and brings everlasting death and damnation on the soul. Both types of sin are, of course, to be avoided. The discernment has been made because often man's will does not always fully consent, or people sin out of weakness, or in justice the seriousness of sin is affected by circumstances, the people involved, objects involved, etc.

A sin that weakens our relationship with god is?

Protestant AnswerThere is no sin that does not separate us from God. He is holy. When we sin, we are being unholy. The punishment for sin is death. But Jesus, God's son, died on the cross. He payed the penalty of our sins, so that we might have an eternal relationship with him. (John 3:16) "For God so loved the world that he sent his only SON that whoever BELIEVES in HIM will not perish but have EVERLASTING life. This is all in the Bible. How is Jesus a gift from god?

After the first man and women broke their relationship with God, by disobeying God, it has been God's way for a person to sacrifice an animal - often a lamb - to maintain their relationship with God. When God chose the nation of Israel to be His representative on earth God gave them a sacrificial system to atone for people's sin. However Jesus came to earth lived and died as the "lamb of God". That is, Jesus was a sacrifice for sin and people who believe in Him will not have to face the consequences of their sin. In this way Jesus was a gift from God. People no longer have to sacrifice animals to restore their relationship with God when they sin. Jesus' death is accepted by God as a sacrifice for all sin.

What separates us from God and affects others?

Sin separates us from God and affects others by causing harm, pain, and discord in relationships. Sin is a violation of God's moral law and disrupts our connection to Him, as well as creating rifts between individuals. Repentance and seeking forgiveness are important steps in repairing these broken relationships.

How does sin sacrifice relationship with God emerge and how do these themes apply to the story of Jesus?

Any deviation from God's established law is sin. It is an attitude of rebellion against God. When we sin we miss God's purpose for our lives and instead of building up and having a relationship with God, it brings separation from Him. Jesus traced sin directly to inner motives, stating that the sinful thought leading to the overt act is the real sin. The Bible declares that the wages of sin is death. But, for those who have trusted Jesus Christ for salvation, death no longer holds this dread.

What are the sins of the amorites?

The Amorites were descendants of Noah who began to worship the moon as god and called that god "sin"; therefore, the fullness of the sin of the Amorites was that they would not only turn away from the one true God, which was the ultimate sin, but would actually worship sin itself and encourage others to do likewise.
