When a user submits/writes an answer on Answers.com, a notice is automatically sent to any user who has that question on their Wacthlist. This is an automated process.
If you find that you're not getting an answer to your question, then the question you asked probably hasn't been answered yet. Should you find that it has been answered and you haven't received an e-mail from Answers.com, saying as much, contact the Answers.com Support team for help. You can contact them via the Contact Us form (see related link below).
Yes indeed! Every answer is answered by someone that is a real live person using a computer. We do not have bots that answer, so your question has been answered by a real person, not a machine.
In a sense, yes. Someone can answer your question but, someone else can come along and "improve" the answer. Where your answer is, there's the word "improve", when someone clicks it, they can add to the answer. If you click on your question that was answered you will see "first answered by" and then a name. To the right of that you will see "last edited by" and then a name. Last edited by is the person that added to the answer. If "first answered by" is the only person that answered your question, their name also appears next to "last edited by", even though they didn't edit. That's just the way the system is.
You don't know if someone opened a question. If the question is not about a celebrity or other well known person, the question is not allowed. Such questions are removed from the site.
this question is confusing. Could you rephrase the question and be much more specific. That way you can get your question answered.
If that person clicks on watch question they will be informed when the question is answered. Or else ask exactly the same question again and you will be taken to it answered or not.
This question can only be answered by someone with synethesia. A person who links words or ideas with colours
Even on forum like this - it's impossible to have every single question answered. You have to remember - this site is not 'live' !.... You have to wait for someone to read your question before it can be answered.
I believe that it is heterogeneous because it is not constant. This person asked the same question and someone else answered, so I'm going with that. http://answers.Yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070826155908AAYkNmw
