They learn that misbehaving have consequences.
Okay, first of all, if we're talking about raising kids, no -- spanking is not a good idea. All it does is teach the child to fear and deceive. If we're talking about spanking as a sex game, enjoy it with a willing adult partner.
No. There are some parents who spank too much, or in the wrong way, or for the wrong reasons. But punishing a naughty child with a controlled spanking on the bottom, fora specific misdeedhe or sheknew was wrong, is not a bad thing and ought to be more often practiced.
Spanking your child VS not spanking your child.
Online there are the videos called "Pros and Cons of Spanking Your Child", "Spanking Your Kids: Discipline or Abuse", and "Spanking And Child Discipline-The Pros And Cons".
Spanking your child is your choice, however, there are ALWAYS more appropriate and positive alternatives to spanking. Such as: time outs, taking away privileges.ect
I don't think so, but how could the child be so naughty that they needed to be spanked, I was never grounded, even when I did do something wrong.
Well, technically if you are spanking a child, you are hitting them. But the term hitting just means physically smacking someone with your hand, or something else, in anger and in the spur of the moment. It is done much more coldly than a spanking. A spanking is a discipline, a punishment, and it is done much more lovingly, when the parent is in total control of mind and the intent is not to hurt the child, but to correct them, and teach them a lesson lovingly. Also, hitting can occur at any part of the body, whereas a spanking is directed singularly to the bottom.
It truly depends on what it is the child/person did. Time outs and spankings are the originals. I believe when you talk to the child/person about what they did and get them to realize how it was wrong, then they will truly understand. Even if you give them a spanking along with that.
Hell no.... he doesn't know any better!! This is a form of child abuse.. If it was a different issue and the child knew better and then did wrong then by all means give him a spanking.
absolutely, unless there is another adult that can teach this child that lying is wrong and not to be condoned.
NO! It's child abuse for which you can be arrested and your child removed from your custody.
Spare the rod, spoil the child.
