How does sunny weather affect people?

Culturally, people who have lived for many generations in higher latitudes, where the winters are colder and there is more seasonal variation, have adapted their values and attitudes to the demands of the climate. Because of the shorter growing season and harsh winters, they are concerned about planning for the future: they are more inclined to work to a strict schedule and they tend to be more frugal with their resources. Conversely, people who live in warmer climates, where the growing seasons are longer (or continuous) and the pace of life has never been dictated by the calendar, are less future-oriented and more engaged with the events of the present.
