The sun does many things to make this world the place it is today. The sun makes plants go through the process of photosynthesis which in turn creates Oxygen. The sun brings us warmth. That warmth creates the climate which creates our dynamic weather patterns. Without the sun, life wouldn't exist.

The sun affects earth by its sunlight. If there was no sunlight there would be no life on earth.

The sun can influence the earth's environment in a variety of ways and on different time scales.

The Sun does much more than this. If there were no sun, the Earth would be just another rock in space. If the sun had not provided its gravitational field, the earth might have flown into another star somewhere off in space by now. The Sun does give us heat, which we need to live, and light, which plants need for photosynthesis. The sun also produces the light which is reflected by the moon, which lights our night sky. A rotation around the sun is the measurement for an year.

The sun affects the Earth in many ways. First without it there would be no life on

Earth. Plants would not be able to produce their own food. People and animals will die if there is no sunlight for the warmth our body needs. Sunlight affects every living thing on Earth. Without it life would not be possible.

The sun, as a star in the center of the Solar System, therefore with gravitation keeping the planets in orbit as they rotate on their axis and revolve around the sun, it causes effects in the climate, seasons and weather patterns.

For example, the Milankovitch cycles which was named after Serbian geophysicist

and engineer, says that there are three cycles are eccentricity, axial tilt (obliquity) and precession wherein the movement, tilt and the shape of its orbit around the sun affects the seasons on Earth.

There are many things that the sun has contributed to Earth. Even in the old times, the greek had a sun god, even the egyptians and the romans and other great nations believed that the sun was a god which led them to worship it and its importance in their daily life.

How does the tilt of earth axis affect the sun's rays strike earth?

the tilt of earth affects the sun's rays because if it is tilted the shaded part will not get the sun's rays but the other side will.

Does earth's distance from the sun affect the season's?

No it does not. Earth's seasons are affected by Earth's tilt. The earth is tilted 23.5 degrees so seasons are created by the sun's direct rays hitting different parts of the earth. Summer in the northern hemisphere starts when the sun's direct rays hit the tropic of cancer. winter occurs in the northern hemisphere when the sun's direct rays hit the tropic of capricorn. fall and spring begin when the sun's direct rays are at the equator. (By the way, summer in the norther hemisphere occurs when the earth is farthest from the sun)

A hypothesis for how the tilt of earths axis affect the seasons?

While the Earth revolves around the Sun, the axis is always pointed in the same direction, so the Sun's light hits different parts of the Earth at different angles. For example, in summer in the Northern Hemisphere, the top of the Earth's axis is pointed towards the Sun, so the light hits the Earth there more directly, causing more heat.

How does the earth's motion around the sun affect the migration of animals?

Migration of animals is usually seasonal and seasons are related to earth motion .Most animals migrate before and after winter to avoid winter .
