The Remington Model 11 is a long-recoil shotgun, where the barrel reciprocates into the receiver a short distance upon firing. It will function will barrels as short as 18" (US federal legal minimum without special licensing) and with barrels of 30" or longer. The big problem would be weight. If someone were to attach something heavy to the barrel, it could cause problems with shell ejection and feeding. sales@countrygunsmith.net
