When Christians believed that Jesus was resurrected he told them that they would have eternal life. They could only have eternal life if they believed in him and accepted him as their personal savior. Since Jesus died for us our sins are forgivin which gives us the blessing of being able to enter the kingdom of heaven after we die.
Christians want to get into heaven when they die to be close to God so by wanting to get into heaven they would need to follow the path of God.
An example of this is the story of the Rich Young Man who wanted to get into heaven but didn't know how. He asked Jesus and was told to follow the commandments and give all of your excess belongings to the poor.
As Christians follow The Bible they would live their life by giving to the poor, following commandments and living a life where they are in the path of God (e.g priesthood, R.E teacher...)
They would also prepare for the judgement after death by 'loving thy neighbor'.
For Christians, belief in the passion, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus are called essential Christian doctrine.
Christians say that without belief in the resurrection of Jesus, they would not believe in Jesus as the Son of God.
Christianity is based on the death and resurrection of Jesus. Without His death and resurrection there would be no Christianity.
Yes. It is the foundation of the Christian faith, Jesus' death and resurrection.
According to Christian belief, the souls of the Old Testament believers were waiting in a place called Sheol until Jesus' death and resurrection. After Jesus' resurrection, it is believed that these faithful souls were brought to heaven.
Easter (Old English: Ēostre; Greek: Πάσχα, Paskha; Aramaic: פֶּסחא‎ Pasḥa; from Hebrew: פֶּסַח‎ Pesaḥ) is the central feast in the Christian liturgical year.[1] According to the Canonical gospels, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. His resurrection is celebrated on Easter Day or Easter Sunday[2] (also Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday). The chronology of his death and resurrection is variously interpreted to have occurred between AD 26 and 36
The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
That Jesus Christ was and is the son of God and God the son, and is the savior of the world, who through his death, burial and resurrection makes men whole by faith in him.
The based their religion on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Resurrection is the concept of a living being coming back to life after death. It is a religious concept, where it is used in two distinct respects: a belief in the resurrection of individual souls that is current and ongoing (Christian idealism, realized eschatology), or else a belief in a singular "Resurrection of the Dead" event at the end of the world. The Resurrection of the Dead is a standard belief in the three God religions. In a number of ancient religions, a life-death-rebirth deity is a deity which dies and resurrects. The death and resurrection of Jesus is the central focus of Christianity. The soul is believed by some to be the divine and immortal part of the human being, and some believe it is the actual vehicle by which people are resurrected. However, theological debate ensues with regard to what kind of resurrection is factual - either a spiritual resurrection with a spirit body or a material resurrection with a restored human body.Refer to link below for more details.
If a church believes that the Bible is true then it will believe in the resurrection. Also, since the resurrection is an essential Christian doctrine and the Christian faith is meaningless without it, you could not disbelieve it and still be considered Christian in any sense.
We Christians have salvation only after Jesus died and rose again, after the resurrection.
