Zazu shoots Cubby and he dies, but before he dies, he shoots Zazu and she dies instantly. After Cubby falls to the ground dead, something happens... The salt and pepper shakers that Milo gave to his dad started to shake and glow. And all of a sudden, Cubby is revived back to life, all injures from the gun is gone and the family decides to move far away and live is secretsy. At the very very end of the book; Cubby and Penny keep writing books but never publish them... fearing that Zazu's cult followers would find them and "finish the job" that zazu never fully completed... in other words: they feared that they could possibly have to go through everything all over again.. they would keep writing their books but lock them all up in a chest after each book they completed...
