Tigers are mammals so their circulatory system is also very similar to that of humans. The tiger's heart has 4 chambers; there are 2 different heart chambers, one being for transporting the blood and the other for receiving the blood. The ventricles are much larger than the atria and their thick, muscular walls are used to forcefully pump the blood from the heart to the body and lungs. Answered By John Thomas

Simple answer: mammals use lungs to take in air, and exchange useful oxygen for carbon dioxide. The oxygen is then diffused into the blood which circulates to all tissues. Carbon dioxide and other waste products diffuse back into the blood. Waste gas is carried back to the lungs and is expelled.

This is different from cellular respiration, which is concerned with the micro-process of obtaining oxygen and combining it with glucose to form water, carbon dioxide and ATP (what cells use for chemical energy).

Tigers breathe through their nasal section and their mouth. The blood pumped from their heart is oxygenated which helps the tigers to breathe. They get their oxygen by either inhaling through their nose or mouth and then exhale out carbon dioxide much like humans do. By John Thomas
