when water gets into a crack in the rock it will freeze and expand so there fore pushing the rock away from the others until it falls off changing the cliff forever

cliffs erode because when the ocean waves hit the rock they bring back pebbles and sediment. this eventually erodes and "eats" at the rock. this forms a cliff.
