The ground is heated up by the sun.The surrounding air near to the ground is heated up first. Near to the ground, the air is denser and can store more heat. As we go up a mountain, the air becomes less dense and less heat can be absorbed.
Also, for every 400m we go up a mountain, it drops 1 degree Celsius
the vegetation at low altitude is more because there is more sunlight on groung and warm atmosphere.plants grow in more sunlight and these plants are eaten by man and animal so where more sunlight then there will be high vegetation. It is warmer on average at a low altitude so more chemical reactions can take place in the plants and so they can grow faster. It is not because of sun light!! because if any thing there is more sun light at higher altitudes because it is above the clouds.
at the bottom of the mountain the climate is warm allowing much vegetation to be grown. as you climb farther up the climate and temperature drops allowing not much vegetation at all to grow.
i dont know how soil would differ ask a science teacher about it reality what a student would do
The bottom of the moutain it is cold at the top it is warm
because the earth has many layers and so the closer you are up torwards the sky, the weather changes and so does the climate
i think it is cold because i saw pictures of it with snow covering the top of the mountain.
A Vertical Climate is the area where the climate changes by altitude. For example, in the tropics of Latin America, there are four climate zones that make up the vertical climate areas: the tierra caliente, the tierra fria, the tierra helado, andthe tierra templada.
its the thing and then it does like yeah thats the answer.
Wind is blowing air up over the mountain. Going from about 1,000 feet at the base to 7,000 feet at the top, the temperature changes as the air goes over the mountain.
4,000 feet of solid granite mountain are on top of NORAD. However, NORAD's daily business has been moved to a regular building on a nearby air force base and Cheyenne Mountain is kept on "Warm Standby."
because the earth has many layers and so the closer you are up torwards the sky, the weather changes and so does the climate
You can adjust to the climate of a mountain to live on top of it by staying warm when cold weather comes (such as building a fire).
A vertical climate a climate affected by altitude (usually found on a mountain). One example is that on a mountain the higher up you go the colder the climate (or temperature) is.
The summit of the mountain is at the top.
it is either highland or high-lattitude
mountain top
is decreases
i think it is cold because i saw pictures of it with snow covering the top of the mountain.
As you move from the bottom to the top of the mountain, the air pressure decreases.
mountain
hot at the base and cold at the top
only the mass will remain consant
