In essence the zero turn radius is only available on high end professional models. An ordinary person who spends a few hours per week on his tractor finds this very convenient. If you spend forty or fifty hours a week on a tractor the time saving is money in your pocket., So if you look at a 4000$ JOHN DEERe zero turn mower it would still cost nearly as much without the feature because it's designed for heavy professional use.
