You can add hydraulic fluid to Porsche convertible top motor by popping open your engine hood and then pouring the hydraulic fluid into the appropriate compartment.
dealers can do it - they have a way to get in from the engine compartment but won't share how it is done :(
The 2000 Boxter does not have a glove box.
In my 2003 Boxster S, the handle lifts up. The console pushes in.
I believe the release is in the glove box.
There is a pull lever behind the drivers seat

In automotive terms it would be what you would open to gain access to the engine compartment.
Open drivers side door and look on the side of the dash, should be a small compartment with all you fuses and map.
The main fuse boxes are on the ends of the dash - open the door, carefully pop off the panels at either end (there is a circular vent there), and there you are.
Same as if it's in the engine compartment. Open the truck and hook up the leads.
They should not be open. Someone has either removed the inner wheel well liners or they have deteriorated over time. They are needed to keep rock, dirt, sand, water, and other foreign objects from entering the engine compartment.
