they do it because they are trained and they have had practises on doing this
I assume that it will not react because benzoic acid cannot be oxidized easily by the hypochlorous acid. I would not try this at a large scale without appropriate safety measures though!
pH Scale
a strong acid is lower on the pH scale a strong base is higher on the pH scale
Citric Acid is a weak acid. It is round about 6 on the pH scale.
you call 911 before you die.

An acid would be on the left side of a pH scale

The Ph scale does not have colours.
This scale is the pH scale.
The pH Scale.
Acid rain. Which can be produced either by industrial pollution (mostly sulfuric acid from coal burning), internal combustion engine pollution (mostly nitric acid), or large scale volcanic eruptions (mostly sulfuric acid).
its a scale showing the amount of acid or alkaline in a object I THINK
The pH scale.
pH Scale
An acid is below 7 on the pH scale and bases are above 7 on the pH scale. An acid can be a hydrogen donor, and a base is a hydrogen acceptor.
