A lack of proper nutrition and proper physical fitness for a teenager can affect their mood, their growth (since much of adult growth happens during the teenage year) and their ability to concentrate and do well in school.
It has been shown through studies that a lack of sleep might cause an increased risk for type two diabetes. Althought its unclear how much diabetes is directly related to a lack of sleep.
The suffix in "diabetes" is "-es" and the root word is "diabe-" from the Greek word "diabainein" meaning "siphon" or "passing through," referring to the excessive urination characteristic of the condition.
Researchers believe that type 2 diabetes in young persons is caused by lack of physical activity and poor nutrition. Incident rates of type 2 diabetes have increased in teens.

Lack of physical fitness is often called "deconditioning".
The most common outcome is diabetes insipidus. (Lack of anti-diuretic hormone activity causes too much diureses (excess urination), as in diabetes - but the cause is not related to pancreatic problems, or diabetes mellitus). Insufficient ADH from the pituitary leads to diabetes iinsipidus, instead.
Eating too much of some foods means that you do not provide your body with the proper amount of nutrition. You can develop deficiencies in necessary vitamins and minerals, leading to weakness in the muscles and bones. Eating too much can lead to obesity, and even diabetes, and a number of other debilitating conditions. You could have a general lack of fitness, energy, and coordination.
