no food = no nutrition
Malnutrition.
malnutrition
can be either abundance or lack of food and nutrients taken.
Malnourishment is caused by not consuming enough of the nutrients required by the body. Poverty and lack of food are the primary reasons why malnutrition occurs in the United States. Ten percent of all members of low income households do not always have enough healthful food to eat, and malnutrition affects one in four elderly Americans. Protein-energy malnutrition occurs in 50% of surgical patients and in 48% of all other hospital patients.
Hunger is a word that connotes the body's physiological need for food. Malnutrition literally means bad nutrition. It could mean not enough food or not enough of the right food resulting in an unhealthy diet. Famine is a severe lack of food which can result in starvation and death.
First of all we have to define what is malnutrition. It is a subjective term because your malnutrition may be different from mine. In Africa malnutrition may mean getting no food. In Asia it may mean not getting enough food. In Europe and US countries, it may mean lack of nutritious food or vitamins and minerals. This can be a reason why we are not able to collect the accurate data.
A lack of nutrients
hard to calulate as many diseases occured because of malnutrition.
Hunger and malnutrition are effects of lack of provisions.
Lack of food is more likely to lead to a quicker death than lack of sleep. While both are essential for survival, the human body can survive longer without sleep than without food. Prolonged lack of food can lead to severe malnutrition and organ failure, ultimately resulting in death.
Malnutrition is the condition that occurs when your body does not get enough nutrients. Causes There are a number of causes of malnutrition. It may result from: • Inadequate or unbalanced diet • Problems with digestion or absorption • Certain medical conditions It could occur if you don't eat enough food. Starvation is a form of malnutrition. You might develop malnutrition if you lack of single vitamins in the diet.
Undernutrition can be classified into three main categories: acute malnutrition (wasting), chronic malnutrition (stunting), and micronutrient deficiency (hidden hunger). Acute malnutrition refers to a rapid decline in weight due to a severe lack of food, chronic malnutrition arises from long-term food deprivation leading to stunted growth, and micronutrient deficiency occurs when essential vitamins and minerals are lacking in the diet.
