On a 1997 Ford Expedition :
The Mass Air Flow sensor is between the engine air filter and the big rubber
engine air intake tube ( it is INSIDE a circular shaped plastic housing , you will
see where the wires go inside )
Look at your speedometer...
Here is a link... With pictures of throttle positioning sensor... http://www.thepartsbin.com/repsite/ford~throttle_position_sensor~reparts.html
No such thing. Expedition came out in 97.
Look at your speedometer...
no, it won't
For the DOHC motor look behind the dipstick tube for a single wire sensor.
probably, look in your manual.
Try looking behind the driver's rear wheel. The sensor is mounted on the frame and if you live in a winter climate, look out! The salt will put a hole right through it and then your car won't start. Speaking from experience, we kept our 2006 Expedition very clean, but this happened to us just recently.
Look in the owners manual.
A 2001 Ford Expedition cylinder head temperature sensor typically resembles a small, cylindrical metal or plastic component with electrical connectors on one end. It is often located near the cylinder head and may have a threaded portion for installation. The sensor is designed to monitor the temperature of the cylinder head to ensure optimal engine performance and prevent overheating. Its size and shape can vary slightly, but it generally fits within the engine's tight space.
theree is one before the catalyitic converters and 2 after the converters. they kindof look like spark plugs with wires coming out of the top.
some 1997 mountaineers didn't come with the dpfe sensor, you will have to look at the egr positioning sensor which is right on top of the egr valve itself . hope that helps
